Meet “Toni” Sponar
Your Host and Founder
Anton “Toni” Sponar was born in 1934 and raised in Austria. He now spends his northern winters in Aspen, Colorado and his southern winters in Chile. Toni’s lifetime of ski experience includes: ski instructing, ski guiding, ski area management and ski industry consulting. Toni will welcome you to his Valle with warm arms and in many tongues. He speaks German, English and Spanish.
Meet Anton Sponar
Following in his father’s ski tracks
In 2016 Toni’s son Anton will be guiding and assisting with mountain operations for his ninth year. Like Toni, Anton grew up on skis. He was a distinguished alpine racer at the University of Colorado and has taught skiing in Portillo, Vail and currently Aspen. Anton has his Level II PSIA and Level II AAA certifications. And …. when not working, skiing the slopes of Chile, in South America, Anton works for Aspen Alpine Guides.
