Touring

Ski Arpa will be offering guided backcountry tours into the remote Valle La Honda. Tours start with a one-way cat ride to Punto Guanaco, the highest point of Ski Arpa. From there the group skins along the scenic ridgeline between Valle La Honda and Valle San Francisco with amazing views of the High Andes and Aconcagua. From the ridge we ski down and into the vast La Honda valley. The tour continues up to Alto Del Arpa peak. Once there, the marquee run of Avanlanchas is all ours to ski down to the Refugio Avalanchas.

The tour is a full day’s worth of skiing and hiking through the amazing El Arpa and La Honda area. Either touring skis or a splitboard with skins or snowshoes are required. Note that Ski Arpa has no touring gear available for rent, but has a few avalanche beacons/transceivers available. The price includes of one cat ride and a guide to keep you safe and find the best snow for you to ski.
